YOUR SHIRT WILL VERY TEMPORARILY HAVE A FRESHLY-PRINTED ODOR.  That is because it has just been printed to order (printed to odor?) and then rushed to you.  Give it a few days to air out and WE GUARANTEE THE ODOR WILL BE GONE.  If you really want to make sure, you can wash it first.  You can still return it if washed or worn, so give it a try.  Some fabrics produce more odor from the printing process than others, so don’t compare different shirts at first.  The odor has been usually described as vinegar-like.  If you still don’t like it for any reason, return it.

Return Policy Details 

 At Sloppy Octopus customer satisfaction is very important to us.  If you are not thrilled with your item for any reason, please notify us within 4 weeks (28 days) of delivery at and be sure to include your order number.


In addition to notifying us with the order number, follow these guidelines:


  1. If the mistake is on our part:


Please also send a photo by email to clearly show the problem.  If the photo clearly shows it is our mistake with a bad print, wrong item, or damaged item, we will reship a correct undamaged item to you at no expense to you, without having to return the original. 


  1. If you would like a return for any other reason (poor fit, changed mind, want to save up for a “real T-shirt” from Johnny Cupcake$, etc.):


We will be glad to refund you, but we must receive the original item back first.  You pay the return shipping expense.  Return the item to the return address on the shipping label which is the address of the printer.  Our items are printed from different locations in the USA, Europe and Australia, so they have different return addresses. Refunds will include the price of the original item plus tax, but not the original shipping charge or return shipping charge. All returned items are donated to charity and never resold.  You can be assured that all your orders have been freshly made just for you.  Please be respectful of our generous return policy to avoid excessive and unnecessary returns.

  1. If it is determined to be our mistake, send photos and no return of item will be needed if our mistake is confirmed.
  2. If you want to return for any other reason, we must receive the original back first, but you pay the return shipping



We do not do EXCHANGES (we do returns, not exchanges).  If you want to exchange, just return the item for a refund, and reorder the new item that you want. Note, that can entail payment of shipping to you and from you on the first item, plus shipping to you on the new item.  We want to make this clear, so there are no surprises.
